I am amazed at how much critizism there is about a man who has been in office for less than 48 hours. This mean spritedness I guess is just typical of politics on both sides. What amuses me is the chicken littles screaming that were going to be Socialists or NAZI's every time we have a new President. Hello chicken little's we have had Republican and Democratic Presidents before and the country still remains the same. I did take a look at myself and I realized that I critizise the Republicans for what they do and the Democrats for what they do not do. One thing that seems to go over the critics head is that no one person can change anything without a lot of cooperation. We elected Jesse Ventura in Minnesota who had a lot of good ideas and did his best to implemet them. In the end his sucess's were circumvented or totally undone after he left office. The most significant was lowering property taxes. The State, Counties, and Local government just arificially raised the value of every ones home to make up for the lost revenue. The only memorable thing left from Jesse's term in office was the legalization of fireworks in Minnesota so we could celebrate our so-called freedom. How sad is that.
Obama is all ready offending the hard left which is a good thing. He is scaring the hard right which is another good thing. The new President is impressive with his cool intelligent demeanor. The only thing that scares me about him is that he plans out every detail so well you just aren't really sure what he really intends to do. This attention to detail and his ability to designate responsibility makes him very powerful. A lot of people could not understand why he chose Biden to be his running mate. I believe it was because he would have a man who had a lot of connections and knowledge of the powers that be. Biden will be his scout or spy depending on your position. Clinton doesn't realize it yet but she is in for one hell of a ride. She will be taking the lead in the Foreign Policy Jungle patrol, mean while back at Headquarters...... Due to the difficult times we face it is going to be a very interesting time. Obama is smart enough, I just hope he is effective enough to get us through this mess. Good Luck Mr. President
