I responded today about Colorado students wanting to carry their pistol's on campus. I pointed out that the freedom to carry with a permit is so limited that it's almost useless. The example I used was Minnesota's law that you can carry unless it is posted that you can not which is probably 98% of the establishments out there. Where I work we had a nut case who was let go. Signs were posted to warn us of this individual and to not allow him in the building because of threats he had made. What were they worried about? There were signs that said you could not carry a gun inside the building. I'm sure that upon seeing this sign he would have turned around and put his gun back into his vehicle before going inside.
What was worse than this idiocy was that one of my co-workers who had a right to carry permit was denied bringing his gun, concealed into work, even though death threats had been made.
